The brewery first introduced Shandy Carib in 1985. It was originally brewed in Ginger then followed by the Sorrel flavour. The Shandy Carib brand is considered to be an exciting blend of larger beer (1.2% alc/vol.) and natural fruit flavours. Thus it is positioned as a light alcoholic Caribbean flavour beverage that is cool, hip, lively, one-of-a kind, contemporary young, sociable, fun loving, "so-you-stay-in control drink." It is for young adults and the young at heart. In November 1998, a Lime flavour was introduced to our Shandy Carib family.
