A velvety smooth barley wine with a rich, complex caramel and malty character and a full warm flavour full of bananas, pear drops, apples and esters with a smooth finish. The hop character keeps the sweetness in check.
Pale ale malt, crystal malt, a special blend of sugars and Fuggles and Goldings hops. Matured for over three months to deliver the highest quality beer.
Note from the Head Brewer: This dark barley wine has a devilish potency and a lovely rounded flavour. A great alternative to port with cheese.
