Prejudices against Italian beers are hard to die. But it would be enough tasting this Peroni Gran Riserva to be made sure that not all certainties must be firm. Born in 1996 to celebrate the 150th anniversary since the foundation of this glorious brand of Rome it was at first very difficult to find. Then, because of its success, underlined by several (and sometimes very important) international awards, it has begun to be found in refined pubs, and also in some supermarkets. To say nothing about its appearance, its smell and its flavour, we can certainly say it is a beer with distinct personality, unforgettable and very easy to recognise, even if you are not a professional taster. It is surely good for important meals, it is perfect with dishes of chicken or rabbit , or with young cow escalopes.
