Recognisable by its golden colour, usually cloudy appearance and excellent head, the White Chimay is particularly characterised by its scent, which is the result of a pleasant combination of fresh hops and yeast. The aroma of the beer perceived on sampling in the mouth, comes from the perfumes of the hops. It is mainly fruity "muscat grape" and "raisin" hints that characterise this beer with the particularly attractive aroma. The taste highlights the dash of bitterness. This means that there is no acridness but rather an after-bitterness that melts in the mouth.
