Great Northern Porter - sent 0 times
Summit
Brewed since 1722 in United States of America
4.8 % alc. vol.
From 1722, when it was first brewed, until well over a century later, porter was the preeminent British beer. It was, in fact, the first beer to become the favorite in every region of the British Isles. Surprisingly, few breweries today even make a porter, let alone a great one. It’s become a somewhat lost, though not altogether forgotten, brewing art.
Porter is very dark, but lighter-bodied than you’d expect, with a robust, malty character and a delightfully sweet finish.
this beer has the current rating
5 bottletops - bloody excellent
