Chernobyl is impossibly opaque and comes served in 8 oz. glasses. I’ve had it on several occasions and have come to know it as a smooth bodied imperial whose flavor ranges from mild mannered to bland, depending on its freshness. Sometimes it shows lace and exudes a chocolaty flavor profile accented with spice. Other times it simply fails to define itself as anything more than a very strong, indistinct dark ale. Still, its potency makes it a slow-sipping beer that drinks pleasantly like an aperitif or cordial.
