Gallo Beer has been on the market for more than 100 years, keeping its formula unchanged. It comes in 12 oz amber returnable bottles, 12 oz aluminum cans and 1 liter amber returnable bottles. Additionally, the line has extended to include light and 30/50 liter keg versions. Its principal characteristics are its full body and fine bitter taste that combine to set a standard for what Guatemalans expect in a good beer. Gallo has also become a symbol of pride for the country due to its worldwide recognition. It is a seven-time winner of the Monde Selection Medal, awarded by the Institute of International Quality Oversight in Brussels, Belgium.
