At the beginning Veliko Tarnovo's brewery produced beer called 'Balkan'. Till 1998 the beer had the name of 'Veliko Tarnovo's beer', but from 1999 it is transformed to 'Boliarka'. The high qualitative indices of the products brought 'BOLIARKA' fame worldwide. The type lager beer with extract content 15,5 % won five gold medals from Mond Selection and the award 'Palma' for high quality.
