After the closure of the Haldengut brewery at the city of Winterthur (Switzerland, 95'000 inhabitants), a group of interested people founded the "Stadguet association". The goal of the group is to brew a local beer for Winterthur and it's surroundings. Because there has not been established a new brewing plant yet, the beer is made under contract with Erusbacher brewery, Villmergen. The local Winterthur's brand "Haldengut" was overtaken by Heineken and is now brewed at the Calanda brewery in Chur.
