90 Shilling - sent 2 times
Odell Brewing Company
Brewed since 1989 in United States of America
5.3 % alc. vol.
We describe the 90 Shilling as a cross between an English pale ale and a Scottish ale, but we call it an amber ale. Fortunately, amber ales aren't very specifically defined; they are, after all, an invention of the American micro-brew industry. 90 has the body of the Scottish ale and the hopping of the English pale ale, but is not truly one or the other. In general, we don't brew to style, but rather choose combinations of ingredients that generate maximum drinkability.
