This brown ale fermented with real raspberries, was inspired by the Framboise beers of Belgium. (Hardly a fleeting novelty, the use of raspberries as a beer adjunct in Belgium is older than the universal acceptance of hops). The brown ale base, complex in itself , with the addition of raspberries both as a seasoning and a further fermentation, produces a beer with exceptional depth of flavor. Use of authentic fruit leads to a ripe seductiveness all the more alluring as the delicate notes are not overpowered.
